2nd Chance Travels is a dynamic, distinct and fast-growing company with over 17 years of experience, specializing in travel solutions. Our core business activities involve selling air tickets, handling inbound and outbound tours, providing assistance in visa applications and other travel related needs. We are one of the top five IATA accredited travel agents among over one hundred and fifty. Being the number one agent to issue tickets to Europe, we handle over 5% of the total national air ticket sales.

Inception & Evolvement

Founded in 2000 we have gone from, the first office in Wennappuwa with only one  staff member and one service desk to a network of 10 branches, respectively in Wennappuwa, Chilaw, Marawila, Negombo, Wattala, Battaramulla, Kullupitiya and two branches overseas, one in Verona-Italy and one in Melbourne, Australia, with over 70 well equipped with trained and qualified staff members. The Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) office of Srilankan Airlines in Wennappuwa is also managed by 2nd Chance Travels.

Our first step to the travel trade began in the year 2000 with a small office in Wennappuwa. During those days, we had only one staff member and one service desk. At the beginning, we could barely serve 50 customers a month.

In the year 2005, we had our first branch office open in Chilaw, and had started operations there.

During 2006, we launched another branch in Negombo. By then, we had 9 staff members in totall. During the same year, we shifted our Head office to a spacious location. The very first major achievement was the conversion of our Chilaw office to a Qatar Airways Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) office which was an agency through Qatar Airways.

In February 2007, we were accredited by IATA. By this time we had started collaborations with several sub-agents.

During 2009, we had a total of 12 staff members. Another major achievement during the year was that we were awarded Silver Award by Qatar Airways for sales performance.

2011, we expanded our branch network to another office in Wattala. At the same time, we were among the top 10 agents in the IATA-BSP sales for the year, which was another major achievement.
